It’s easy to convince ourselves that somehow we are above nature, invincible, that death itself is something we can avoid if we just think positively. Sadly we are destroying nature, destroying our planet, and destroying ourselves. Our actions are creating catastrophes and we haven’t even learned how to live together as a species. We are nothing more than vulnerable, easily damaged organic creatures that walk a tightrope between happiness and sadness, health and sickness, hungry or full, life or death. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if all we had to fear was the illusion of threat, not the the reality of what lies behind threat! Wouldn’t it be lovely if we didn’t have to fear man himself?
