"Early morning, mirror calm water on the Menai Strait, a flock of geese slowly floated by, seemingly enjoying the movement and gentle sunshine. The mist softened peaks of the Carneddau Mountains of Eryri, Snowdonia, can be seen rising behind the shadowy woodland on the Bangor side of the Menai Suspension Bridge. There was something particularly timeless about this scene, and I imagined generations of these birds doing the same thing long before the magnificent Telford suspension bridge was ever built"
