Cefn Coch or Druids' Circle, in thick fog, Penmaenmawr
Cefn Coch is an embanked stone circle of 10 remaining large stones from around 13 originals, high upon the hills ((396m) behind Penmaenmawr in North Wales, near a prehistoric trackway and three other stone circles. There is a ruined entrance around 2m wide on the west side. Despite the name, it long predates the Druids as it was constructed in the Bronze Age (3300 BC – 1200 BC)
There is a ruined entrance 7ft. (2.1m) wide on the west. The interior is free from stones, save for a small modern cairn.' (RCAHMW 1956, 89-90).
Excavation in 1958 revealed cremation deposits.
