Full of cold, I nevertheless found myself on the summit of Carnedd Llewelyn in the heart of Snowdonia. The sun was out and burned warm on my face. There was hardly a puff of wind to blow the few soft pillow-like clouds in the blue sky above.
It was peaceful and quiet, save for the sound of my boots crunching into the thick snowdrifts that dotted the mountain tops.
