Tantalisingly close, indeed just tantalising, but Tryfan remain out of bounds to everyone at present. In a way it was rather a nice thought that the magnificent mountain was devoid of human beings and their noise and chatter and rubbish. It seemed even more awesome because of its desolation and quietness.
There is talk of reducing numbers in the Snowdonia National Park, long term, and I think this would be a very good thing for nature and the environment. For the moment it was just me and the restricted big peaks in the distance and the most amazing weather play all around me.
