For such a massive, and massively popular beach, it’s amazing how often you can have this 3.5-mile-long stretch of sandy, dune-backed coast all to yourself. It feels huge when you are walking it, especially if you walk to the far end in either direction, but when I saw these three people ambling along the sand towards the narrowest point of the Menai Strait, sea mist starting to roll in from the Irish Sea, it really helped to visually highlight just how vast this beach is.
