International Color Awards 2016 - Nominee in "Nature" category
"In my peripheral I could sense a shift in colour temperature and I turned to see cliffs bathed in yellow and orange, starkly contrasting against the almost black skies behind. I had cold winds biting at my neck, I was being whipped by my own hair and molested by gusts, yet in front of me, I was being shown an exercise in warm stage lighting, rich, sumptuous, saturated colour, the sort HDR fanatics could only fantasise about.
I stood, nay sank, in fast beach streams flowing from the Nant above, which contrasted the cool blue reflections of the sky with a golden glow from the land, and then, within maybe five minutes, it was gone, as a large sheath of impenetrable cover slid layer by layer under the beautiful burn.
Dark followed me rapidly and by the time I'd reached my vehicle it was upon me. As I opened the back of my new van, I was bathed in a comforting new orange light, and I made for home"
