This is from a small number of images shot over Christmas whilst staying in Northwich with my brother & his family. In this town the relationship between nature and huge chemical and rock salt industries created surreal landscapes, reminiscent of Tarkowsky films. The dreary weather and my melancholic state of mind due to a marriage breakdown, resulted in metaphorically dark images – sad and brooding, but with delicate glimmers of light, signs of hope.
